Hello, everyone. I hope this post finds you well. I am going to take a much needed break this week, to regroup and refuel.
I will be enjoying the holiday this week with my husband, with whom I am grateful to be able to isolate with during this pandemic. As some of you may know, I drove from Georgia back to California at the end of September, so that I could work from home with my husband, who still lives in California. It has been so nice for us both to be together again, having lived apart for the past year, and having both been alone in our respective homes on opposite sides of the country. I am grateful to be with him, to have work that allows me to stay home and safe, and that most of my family is safe and taking the pandemic seriously.
To all of you, I wish you well this week, and always. This is a tough holiday season, but if we follow the CDC guidelines, and let the scientists fuel our decision making, we may have holidays next year to enjoy with family.
To those who are front line workers or essential works, putting yourselves in risky situations to help or protect the rest of us, thank you so much for all you do. To the scientists working to understand the virus, thanks for your hard work. I am incredibly grateful.
See you all next week. Until then...
Be well, stay safe, and take care.
